Robatayaki grill or "Robata"

This is a Japanese-style charcoal barbecue with several levels. The robata bbq is a versatile charcoal grill with multi-level/multi-zone cooking capabilities. Stable temperatures, uniform cooking results and long service life are just some of the attributes of this exceptional grill.

What is a robata grill?

The Robatayaki grill, or simply "Robata," originates from Japanese cuisine. It is an open grill, with multiple levels, and fueled by charcoal.

"Robatayaki" refers to dishes prepared in front of customers, where ingredients, typically placed on skewers, are slowly cooked over charcoal embers, similar to a barbecue.

Our robata grills are the perfect solution for cooking in front of your guests or customers, but can also be installed in your restaurant's kitchen. The grill's design concentrates heat for more efficient cooking, and its depth is ideal for distributing heat, resulting in significant savings on charcoal or wood.

The robata grill has an adjustable air intake system to facilitate ignition and control the combustion of charcoal during use.

You can flavor your products during cooking by using different types of wood and charcoal. The size of the Robatayaki grill allows for one or more independent cooking zones, so you can place it on a kitchen cabinet, against a wall, or on a central table to cook on both sides.

What are the differences between a robata and a traditional barbecue?

The robata grill, originating from Japanese culinary tradition, offers several advantages over a traditional barbecue:

  1. Cooking precision: Thanks to its multiple levels and the ability to regulate the intensity of the fire, the robata allows for more precise cooking adapted to each food. You can quickly sear meat or slowly cook vegetables.
  2. Culinary versatility: The robata is not limited to grilling. You can cook skewers, vegetables, seafood, but also more elaborate dishes like yakitori or steamed vegetables.
  3. Culinary experience: Cooking on a robata is a real experience. The fire crackles, the smells mingle, and the interaction with the fire makes cooking even more enjoyable and convivial.
  4. Aesthetics: The clean and elegant design of the robata makes it a decorative element in itself in your kitchen or garden.

What are the advantages of a robatayaki grill?

  • Optimize your space: Ideal for open kitchens, the Robata offers unparalleled flexibility and allows several people to cook at the same time.
  • Modular cooking station: multiple surfaces and cooking levels.
  • Mobility: Robata models that can be placed on a work surface allow you to move the cooking station. Do you have an outdoor event? You can take your robata with you.
  • Optimal thermal insulation: specific design preventing any heat dispersion through the walls or base thanks to refractory bricks that optimize heat, guaranteeing precise and controlled cooking.
